India Inc on govt: Narayana Murthy disappointed with UPA
Murthy, in an interview with NDTV, said, "I personally feel that a coalition led by the somebody extraordinary like Mrs Sonia Gandhi and someone like Dr Manmohan Singh and Mr Pranab Mukherjee, who is a fantastic minister...they could have done a much better job in dealing with the demands of the civil society."
"After all what they (civil activists) are asking for is something good for the country. All that they are saying is that nobody should be above law," added Murthy.
Murthy's comment on the government's act followed a foiled meeting between the Lokpal panel members on Jun 15. After the meeting, government spokesperson Kapil Sibal said that two separate drafts will be tabled before the Union Cabinet if their next meting on Jun 20 fails to bring any consensus.
Hazare has already warned the government that he will resume his fast at Jantar Mantar, if UPA will not present the final draft in the Parliament before Aug 15, 2011.
