Digvijay Singh calls Baba Ramdev a fundamentalist: Report
Continuing his tirade against Baba Ramdev, in the same day as Gadkari compared Sonia Gandhi's assurance on fight against corruption with Pakistan's commitment to tackle terror, the Congress General secretary called the yoga-guru a fundamentalist.
He even compared him to the maulana of Lal Masjid in Pakistan, saying both fled in women"s garb when faced with police action, reports The Indian Express.
The daily even states that he drew further parallel between the two and said that both spoke a lot against corruption and wanted the corrupt to be hanged. Speaking at the Indian Coffee House in Bhopal, Digvijay Singh was quoted as saying, “All fundamentalists are essentially cowards and run away at the first sign of challenge."
Making it clear that he was not against Ramdev after the latter's fast against corruption in June, he said that he was after him since April.
The Congress General Secretary did not even spare Acharya Balkrishna, the aide of yoga-guru Baba Ramdev and called him a criminal from Nepal. Turning his special attention to Ramdev again, the daily reports that he even questioned his ability to teach proper yoga.
