"We have not received satisfactory response from either the state government or Governor Devanand Konwar on our demands for meeting out justice to the victims of Forbesganj police firing and have decided to intensify agitation on the issue," the state unit RJD president Ramchandra Purve and chief spokesman Ram Kripal Yadav told reporters here.
It has been decided to organise dharna on June 18 and will be followed by the burning of effigies of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi at district headquarters on June 22, they said.
Further agitational programmes will be decided at a meeting to be presided over by party's national president Lalu Prasad on July 5 on the occasion of the foundation day of the party.
The BJP leadership has been trying to vitiate peace and communal harmony in the border districts like Araria, Purnia and Kishenganj by making regular tour to the places in these ''sensitive'' districts with aim to terrorise and marginalise the minority community, the RJD leaders said.
The state RJD president also released the list of office bearers of the youth wing on the occasion.
