7th Lokpal meet fails to break deadlock, next meet on Jun 20

Lokpal panel members
New Delhi, Jun 15: The 7th meeting between the members of Lokpal panel on Wednesday, Jun 15 failed to break the deadlock between the civil society members and the government representatives.

The next meeting will be held on Jun 20 and Jun 21, informed telecom minister Kapil Sibal after the meeting in the national capital.

If the next meetings will again fail to bring consensus on the format and structure of the Lokpal, the two sides of the panel agreed to come up with two different drafts with their own versions.

The two drafts will be examined by the cabinet, as Sibal and Anna Hazare's aide Arvind Kejriwal informed. The deadline to table the final Lokpal draft remained Jun 30.
