Yoga cannot end corruption: Bharat Singh

Bundi, Jun 14: Referring to yoga guru Baba Ramdev's hunger strike and anti-corruption campaign, State minister Bharat Singh today (June 14) said it is not possible to eradicate corruption through yoga.

"Corruption cannot be eradicated by yogic exercises. For a corruption free society every citizen of the nation must be honest and duty bound," Singh, MoS for Panchayati Raj and Rural Development said.

"Practising yoga and honest politics is not the same," he said during the concluding ceremony of two day long Bheel Advasi Vikas Mela at Dabi.

Mahadev Singh Khendala, MoS for Tribal affairs was the chief guest at the function, organised for the first time in Rajasthan to mark the death anniversary of martyr Nanak Bheel.

Khendala announced a sum of Rs one crore for the construction of advasi girls hostel at Dabi and Rs 12 crore for adivasi girls hostel and college in Bundi district.
