Mid Day journalist Jyotirmoy Dey shot dead in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jun 11: Recent news claimed that the journalist, who used to work with Mid Day succumbed to his injuries. Hospital sources said that Jyotirmoy Dey was dead soon after his arrival at the Hiranandani hospital.

Jyotirmoy Dey reportedly sustained five bullet wounds. Mr Dey was the senior journalist and Investigations Editor. The daily sources said that Mr Dey recently had received life-threats from mafia.

Mumbai: Mid Day crime reporter shot at, hospitalised

A shocking news shattered the media world when a journalist has been shot at by unidentified assailants in Mumbai on Saturday, Jun 11.

The journalist, who has been identified as Jyotirmoy Dey, used to work as a crime reporter for the daily Mid-Day. Mr Dey has been hospitalised and doctors informed that he (Dey) was critically injured.

Mr Dey used to cover underworld and crime stories for the newspaper. Eye-witnesses said that two people attacked the journalist while he (Dey) was entering his residence at Powai in Mumbai.
