Les Paul Google Doodle
New York, Jun 10: Don't panic, Google search engine is updated! It's wonder to see the same Google Doodle on Google's search engine home page on Friday, Jun 10. Google featured this interactive electric guitar, the Gibson Les Paul, doodle on Jun 9 to honour the 96th birthday of legendary jazz guitarist, songwriter and inventor Les Paul. But, today, Google brought some new features.

The Les Paul Google Doodle on Friday can be seen only on google.com, but others can enjoy it by clicking on the "Go to Google.com" link. The new addition to the Les Paul doodle is the recording feature, which allows users to record the their own track for 30-seconds. Now, you can play your tunes, record and Google will give the link of your tune. Just copy the link to your browser and listen to your own track.

Due to popular demand, we're leaving the Les Paul doodle up in the US for an extra day. Thanks for jamming with us!," a post on the official Google Twitter account said.

"In keeping with this spirit of tinkering, those of you in the U.S. can click the black 'compose' button to record your own 30-second track. Just strum the strings or trigger notes with the letters or numbers on your keyboards. Clicking the button again will display a link to share the songs you"ve made," Google said in its blog.

The doodle for Les Paul was made with a combination of JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas (used in modern browsers to draw the guitar strings), CSS, Flash (for sound) and tools like the Google Font API, goo.gl and App Engine. Click here to see more Google Doodles.
