Former WB Chief Minister to miss the politburo meet
This meeting is to be held in order to discuss the left poll debacle that resulted in ending the 34-years old rule in Bengal.
The three-day Politburo meet will be attended by the other members such as Biman Bose, Nirupam Sen and Mohammed Amin.
Bhattacharjee told party general secretary Prakash Karat that he wont be able to attend the meeting as he wasn't keeping well. But, the other CPM senior party members thinks the other way. They suspect the reason of Buddhadeb's absence as he might take the poll debacle personally.
One of the party members said that Buddhadeb is "emotionally fragile" and takes things "personally". Buddhadeb's such behaviour came as a shock to both his admirers and critics. The man who has led the left party since 2000, seems to remain in profound grief after such a disastrous defeat.
Buddhadeb has been missing the politburo meeting since 2009. He didnot attend the 2010 meeting due to his party work. But this time, Biman Bose, in order to keep away all controversies, cited the reason of Bhattacharjee's illness.
On the other hand, Kerala minister VS Achuthanandan, who had been removed from the politburo a couple of years back, might get back to the CPM Politburo this time.
