Baba Ramdev's supporter 'very critical'

New Delhi, Jun 10: Rajbala Malik, the supporter of Baba Ramdev, who was lathi-charged by the police at Ramlila Maidan and injured badly is said to "very critical."

"Her condition is very critical and her vital parameters are being maintained with increased pharmacological support," said Doctors, Neurosurgery Department ICU, GB Pant Hospital.

According to a doctor, Rajbala's heart rate and blood pressure were fluctuating in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, Jun 10, but was brought down with medicines. He further said that she was on ventilator.

Another supporter of Baba Ramdev, who suffered head injuries is being treated at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital.

"Only one patient is admitted with us and the rest have been discharged. He will be discharged as soon as he recovers," said Medical Superintendent, Dr Richa Diwan, LNJP Hospital.

50-year-old Rajbala was one of the seriously injured in the police lathi-charge that took place on Sunday, Jun 6 and left many of Ramdev supporters injured.

Rajbala was admitted to the ICU and undergoing treatment at Delhi's GB Pant Hospital. Rajbala had a cervical joint replacement surgery on Sunday, Jun 6. It was on her insistence that she went to support Baba Ramdev's cause despite her family asking her to leave the venue at midnight. She was injured after police stormed into the venue and lathi-charged people.
