Anil Ambani met Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair. Jail sources informed, "It was a half an hour meeting. They met in jail number 3." Meanwhile, people started questioning about Anil Ambani's role in the 2G spectrum scam.
Ambani, who always turns down all allegations against him, could have sacked the three detained ADAG officials. But Ambani's special meeting with them irked many to ask, whether Anil Ambani indeed was aware of the financial transaction in getting spectrum license, as the investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has said so far.
Three top ADAG executive, MD Gautam Doshi, Senior executive Hari Nair and senior vice president Surendra Pipara, have been accused of setting up Swan Telecom as a front to acquire more spectrum and licenses for Reliance Telecommunications.
Recently, CBI has given a clean chit to Tata Telecommunication in the 2G spectrum scam. But the threat is still hovering around Anil Ambani's company as ADAG is still under the CBI scanner.
CBI alleged three officials of breaching the rule of acquiring telecom licenses. Rule says, operators can not hold more than 10 percent in another company providing telecom services in the same area. Doshi, Nair and Pipara have evaded those regulations, CBI charged.
