Ship that carried Osama bin Laden's body halts at Hawaii

Pear Harbour, Hawaii, Jun 8: The naval ship, USS Carl Vinson which terror head Osama bin Laden's body was carried and buried at sea, halted in Hawaii, making US its first stop after it set out six months ago to the Middle East.

Friends and families greeted the sailors when the ship stopped in Pearl Harbour on Tuesday, Jun 8, before departing to its destination, San Diego.

Body of Laden was put in a weighted bag after which religious comments were made by an officer before depositing the body into the sea, said a Pentagon Official commenting on how bin Laden was buried.

The USS Carl Vinson was led by Rear Admiral, Samuel Perez. The carrier was in the North Arabian Sea in May after it took in the Navy SEAL crew which carried the body of 9/11 terror head, Osama bin Laden.
