Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ms Mayawati
Agra, Jun 8: Uttar Pradesh police is on a hunt for Heera Thankur, a former member of the UP Vidhan Parishad, for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Ms Mayawati.

Thakur, at the Eight National Convention of Samajwadi party last evening held here, allegedly said that the state government has forty thieves and thirteen rapists in it.

Police raided several hotels last night, but could not get Thakur. Thakur had come from Lucknow to attend the convention. Thakur also used derogatory words against Mayawati. He repeated the remarks several times, forcing the SP State president Akhilesh Yadav to intervene.

Thakur was nominated to the state Vidhan Parishad by Mayawati but left BSP and joined SP after Mayawati did not nominate him for the third time.
