"The AIFB recognises the cause of the struggle being launched by Baba Ramdev. But, the five star model struggle and its abrupt end raises lots of doubts about the ultimate aim of the struggle. It was like a gout up game," AIFB General Secretary Debabrata Biswas told newspersons here.
"The police action and arrest of Ramdev illustrates that the government has something to hide on the issues raised by Ramdev such as corruption and black money," he said.
"The government should have consulted with political parties before taking the extreme undemocratic step," Biswas said.
He also criticised the BJP saying "it is trying to fish in troubled waters." Referring to the Bellary brothers who are ministers in the Karnataka government, he said the party had no moral right to speak against corruption.
