Anna Hazare
New Delhi, Jun 6: Delhi police on Jun 7 denied permission to Anna Hazare to hold his one-day fast on Wednesday, Jun 7 over Baba Ramdev's forceful eviction from the national capital.

Earlier Anna and his team announced that they will conduct the one-day hunger-strike at Jantar Mantar as Anna team wanted to protest police brutality on Ramdev and his followers.

However, one of the prominent members of team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal dared the government and vowed to gather at Jantar Mantar to hold the peaceful protest.

Reminding the constitutional law under section 19 (1)(b), which provides all Indians the authority to assemble peaceably and without arms, Kejriwal slammed the police and asserted that he with other supporters will gather at the venue as per the schedule.

Team Anna also claimed that they would be ready to court arrest but would not call off their one-day fast planning.

The yoga guru, who is currently holding his protest against the government in his Haridwar ashram, was booted out from Delhi.

On Monday, the civil society members of the Lokpal panel boycotted their meeting with government officials showing protest over the midnight crackdown on Baba Ramdev and his supporters who were on a peaceful protest at the Ram Lila grounds on the issue of black money and corruption in general.
