UP: Mayawati denies permission to Baba Ramdev's fast

New Delhi, Jun 6: Ramdev was denied permission to hold his hunger strike in Uttar Pradesh by the Chief Minister of the state, Mayawati.

Baba Ramdev hinted on Sunday that he would hold the fast in Noida after he was evicted from Delhi by the police. Ramdev also said that he would ask Mayawati to grant him the permission to hold his fast in Noida. However he said that he would continue with his fast in Patanjali Peeth, Haridwar and pressurize the UPA government to bring back the black money.

Ramdev also requested his followers to join him in his agitation in Uttarakhand and UP at Patanjali Peeth from Monday, Jun 6. Baba hinted that he would go back to Delhi and continue to fast.

Mayawati on Sunday, Jun 5, called the police intervention that happened at the Ramlila Maidan as "condemnable", "undemocratic" and "inhuman".
