Shoe hurled at Congress leader Janardhan Dwivedi

New Delhi, Jun 6: Once again government officials became the victim of shoe thrower. A shoe was hurled at Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi on Monday, Jun 6. Though, the attack foiled with the intervention of the security guards.

The attack surprised many as Dwivedi was conducting a press conference criticising Baba Ramden, BJP and RSS over the recent nation-wide ruckus over black money issue.

According the sources, the attacker was a journalist namely Sunil Kumar working in Navasanchar Times, Rajasthan. Eyewitnesses told Sunil Kumar asked some question to Dwivedi about Ramdev and attacked the Congress leader soon after his reply.

Dwivedi called the attack as a "conspiracy of the opposition parties". However, Baba Ramdev refused to comment on the whole issue.

Meanwhile, Congress' bombshell, Digvijay Singh criticised RSS for the attack on Dwivedi. Recently, another sacked Congress MP and former CWG OC chief Suresh Kalmadi was also targeted when a person hurled shoe on him.
