Never had the intention to court controversies: Digvijay
The former Chief Minister was in the news, amid the drama of police action against Baba Ramdev's agitation in Delhi, when he said that Ramdev was "a fraud".
However, talking to PTI this morning, Singh said, "It is not my intention to enter into any controversy. I only speak about facts, and the truth."
He said if this was landing him in controversies, he would continue to speak the truth.
The Congress General Secretary said it would be unfair to to brand him as a man who relishes controversies or likes to stir them up.
Asked if his statements had ever landed the UPA government at the Centre in a problem, he said had this been so, he would have been pulled up.
"The fact that I have never been pulled up till now indicates that my statements have never caused any problem to the government."
