Manmohan Singh involved in 'conspiracy of silence': BJP
Ravi Shankar Prasad, the BJP spokesperson has been quoted by CNN-IBN as saying, "Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has always indulged in the 'conspiracy of silence' be it the 2G issue, CWG or this crackdown."
The BJP spokesperson was also quick to remind the Prime Minister and the Congress President about the perils of trying to upset democratic process and said, "We want to tell Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi that even Indira Gandhi during emergency couldn't take away the democratic right, they aren't going to succeed now."
He also denied claims that his party has preferred to stay in the background while allowing the likes of Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev to tackle the issues of corruption. He said, "I think it's unfair to say that. It was Advani who first raised the issue of black money in 2009."
As expected, he called on the Prime Minister to resign from his post and said, "Manmohan Singh has lost the moral authority to rule."
It can be recollected that Baba Ramdev's much publicised protest fast against corruption came to an abrupt end on Jun 4 midnight, when Delhi police conducted a late-night raid at the Ramlila Maidan, the venue of the protest and forced the yoga guru and his followers to flee the scene.
