Corruption should end says Meira ahead of Ramdev's agitation
Patna, Jun 3: Ahead of Yoga Guru Ramdev's proposed agitation against corruption, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today (June 4) said said all possible steps should be taken from everyone to root out corruption.
"We want from the core of our heart that the corruption must end... all possible steps and efforts be made from every quarter to root out corruption," Kumar told reporters on the sidelines of a seminar here.
"Everyone should fight corruption unitedly... be parliament members, or civil society activists or common people they should also try on their own to end corruption," she said.
Kumar made the remarks when mediamen sought her comments on Ramdev's decision to launch stir at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi from on Saturday, June 4.
