The main focus of the meeting includes discussion on general elections that are to be held in 2014. There has been disparity after after the recent dispute between opposition leaders Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley.
"The meeting is the most important one, especially because of the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, besides Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa. But as there is a controversy brewing in the party, it could become a dominant issue during discussions though it is unlikely to be taken up formally," said a senior party leader.
"This time BJP will not experiment with any pre or post-poll alliance," said BJP national vice-president, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, adding that the party will go on their own in the Assembly elections next year and blamed opposition parties over playing caste politics to gain votes.
