Baba Ramdev arrives in Delhi; UPA Min's scuttle for peace
Fully aware of what a slim, frail looking man can do to the government babus, Ramdev has still managed to go-ahead with his fast and show his steely mettle in the corrupt corridors of the Delhi administration.
In a further move to coax the Baba, senior Cabinet ministers Kapil Sibal, PK Bansal and Subodh Kant Sahay met him at the airport when he arrived on Wednesday afternoon to kickstart his fast. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee is also expected to visit Baba later in the day and is likely to put forth the actions taken by the government to curb the issue of black money.
Baba Ramdev had earlier rejected Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's request to call off the fast and had appeared at loggerheads with Anna Hazare's demand for bringing the PM under the ambit of the LokPal Bill. The Baba had created a furore with his comment that the PM and the CJI should be exempted from the Bill.
