US presidential election ahead;'Major scandal' to hit Obama?
In his report - "Center for Politics", Brendan Nyhan stated that Obama's government soon will be hit by a big controversy. The prediction was mainly based on Brendan Nyhan's mathematical formula.
Brendan Nyhan also said, "Obama has been extremely fortunate: My research on presidential scandals shows that few presidents avoid scandal for as long as he has."
Sources informed that Brendan Nyhan's prediction was mainly based on the interpretation of data from presidential scandals between 1977 and 2008.
"In the 1977-2008 period, the longest that a president has gone without having a scandal featured in a front-page 'Washington Post' article is 34 months -- the period between when President Bush took office in January 2001 and Valerie Plame scandal in October 2003," said the predictor.
Now, it will be interesting to see if the prediction will become true. Obama has regained his popularity after al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's killing. Now, any scandal will definitely hamper the presidential election in US.
