Mamata & 10 crorepatis rule West Bengal!

Kolkata, May 28: Although the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is famous for her simple and austerity lifestyle, her ministry is not that much economical! According to the affidavits submitted with nomination papers for the April-May assembly polls, Mamta Banerjee's ministry will have 10 crorepatis.

Nine ministers from Trinamool Congress and one minister from Congress have assets worth over Rs 1 crore. The Animal Resource Development Minister Nure Alam Chowdhury leads the 'crorepati minsters' list with assets worth over Rs 9 crore. Alam Chowdhury and his wife have an annual income close to Rs 30 lakh.

The West Bengal Finance Minister Amit Kumar Mitra is the right person to hold the Finance matters as he is the second wealthiest minister in the list. Amit Kumar has assets worth more than Rs 7 crore. The Inland Water transport Minister Hyder Aziz Safwi of Trinamool Congress is the third person in the list with assets valued over Rs 5 crore.

Planning and Development Minister Manish Gupta and Urban Development Minister Firhad Hakim have assets over Rs 3 crore. Trinamool's Consumer Affairs Minister Sadhan Pande owns assets worth of Rs 2 crore.

Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs Minister Sukumar Hansda, Agricultural Marketing Minister Arup Roy and Sports Minister Madan Mitra are the other Trinamool minister appeared in the crorepati list. Three of them have properties worth over Rs 1 crore.

Irrigation Minister Manas Bhuniya of Congress is the lone non-Trinamool minister to bag the elite spot in the list. Manas Bhuniya has properties valued over Rs 1 crore.
