Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley
Hubli, May 28: Rajnath Singh, the former president of Bharatiya Janata Party along with B S Yeddyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka are trying hard to put up a united front for the BJP after the feud between Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley was out in the open.

Yeddyurappa, whose government has been under the scanner for rampant corruption in Karanataka, said that the decision to have the Reddy brothers in his cabinet was solely his decision and not of any other leader of the BJP.

Rajnath Singh, too gave the impression of trying hard to quell the impression of factional feuds in the BJP and said that rather than any leader, it was the political compulsion of the party to have the Reddy brothers in the cabinet.

"The decision was only taken after my consent. I do not accept holding Sushma Swaraj or Arun Jaitley responsible. Everything happened with my consent as I was the national president at that time. If anybody wants they can hold me responsible for this and not Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj. There were some political compulsions due to which we had to take this decision and also BJP was coming to power in the south for the first time."

Earlier, Sushma Swaraj, BJP's leader in the Loksabha took apart Arun Jaitley, her counterpart in the Rajya Sabha and blamed him for the appointment of the infamous Reddy brothers in the Karnataka cabinet.

Now that, BSY has accepted the blame for the Reddy brother's inclusion in the cabinet, can anyone in the BJP clarify what was wrong in Governor H R Bharadwaj's statement that the state government has lost the moral right to be in power?
