Mumbai, May 27: A leopard strayed into actress-MP Hema Malini's bungalow in suburban Malad today (May 27), forest officials said. A team of forest officials have rushed to the spot, they said.
According to sources, the caretaker of the house saw a animal wandering around the lawn in the wee hours. The moment he thought of going near the animal, the leopard appeared in front of him. After saving himself from the animal, he went ahead and alerted the police.
The forest officials have ordered a cage to trap the animal.
The veteran actress was not present at her residence when the incident happened at her bungalow, located at Dindoshi area.
When contacted, Maharashtra Forest Minister Patangrao Kadam told PTI that he has sought information from senior officials on the incident. "We will find out how the leopard strayed into the bungalow," Kadam said.
