Sonia Gandhi to visit Haryana on June 1
The programme is being implemented under the National Rural Health Mission. Addressing a press conference here, Hooda said the national programme is being launched on the pattern of schemes which have already been implemented in the state.
The Centre has adopted the programme after its success in Haryana, he added.
He said that as per this programme being launched at the national level, all pregnant women would be provided free transport to the hospital as well as on way back to their homes with the new-born child.
All treatments including operation, medicines, consumables and meals would be provided free of cost.
In case the new born child gets sick after reaching home, the child along with the mother will be provided to and fro transport free of cost.
