Paris, May 26: In a major disappointment for Indian tennis fans, Sania Mirza has been knocked out of the French Open Women's single after losing her second round match to Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska.
She lost the match 6-2, 6-4.
The 12th seed Polish player never allowed Sania to go off the hook and ensured that she dominated every second of her game with the World No. 72 Mirza.
The loss ensured that Sania's record of never moving beyond the second round at Roland Garros remained intact. The loss, is in complete contrast to her performance against Germany's Kristina Barrois in the first round of the tournament on May 23.
Sania had put forward a dominating display of tennis and beat the German 6-3 6-3 in straight sets.
