Anna Hazare slams Modi; says corruption trashes Gujarat
Hazare, who earlier faced enough criticism for praising Modi, said that corruption has not even spared the state of Mahatma Gandhi. "Corruption is everywhere in Gujarat," claimed Hazare who visited the state on Thursday, May 26 as part of his state-visit for showing regards towards the aam admi.
Hazare started a nation-wide rally to meet people from different segments of the nation as he had received tremendous support during his fast-unto-death to draft the anti-corruption "Lokpal Bill".
Earlier Hazare claimed, "State chief ministers must learn from the work done by the chief ministers of Gujarat and Bihar." Hazare's praise to Modi stirred up many including his own followers like social activist Medha Patkar.
Hazare's anti-Modi and anti-Gujarat statement, however, surprised and amused many who earlier had raised voice against once Modi 'praiser'.
