Maoist select mediators to meet Naveen Patnaik
Berhampur (Orissa), May 23 (PTI) The three mediators,who played key role in the release of former Malkanagiricollector from Maoists, are scheduled to meet chief ministerNaveen Patnaik tomorrow.
The government had agreed to implement the 14-pointagreements within three months from the date of release of thecollector R Vineel Krishna, who was abducted by the rebels onFebruary 16 and set free on Feb 23. �"About three months have passed since the agreement ismade with the mediators. The government have failed to meetthe demands so far," one of the mediators said here.
"We will take up the matter with the chief minister onTuesday. The mediators will convey their displeasure and urgethe government to expedite implementation of the agreement,"Dandapani Mohanty, one of the mediators said here.
Besides Mohanty, Prof Hargopal and Maoist sympathiserV V Rao and two other social activists are likely to meetPatnaik tomorrow.
