New Delhi, May 24: The 15-hour long gunbattle between terrorists and navy commandos in Karachi's naval base, proved Pakistan's inefficiencies to protect the countrymen and its weapons. Amid this tensed situation, the main Opposition party in India, BJP has taken a hand on the neighbouring country.

BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy on Tuesday, May 24 claimed that Pakistan should be denuclearised after few militants attacked the military base and succeeded to continue the gunbattle for 15 long hours.

Rudy said, "All this establishes Pakistan's vulnerability as far as nuclear weapons are concerned. It is a matter of concern... how is Pakistan going to protect itself?"

"It is time imminent action is taken to denuclearise Pakistan. There should be a world call to denuclearise Pakistan," added Rudy. The BJP spokesperson also continued as saying, "There is full-fledged jihadisation of Pakistan's army, which is not only a matter of concern for India and Southeast Asia but for the world."

The Pakistan Taliban, Tehreek-e-Taliban claimed responsibility for the terror attacks which had started on Sunday (May 22) night. 10 militants attacked the naval base, PNS Mehran in Karachi. According to Geo News reports, the terrorists used rocket propelled grenades to damage and destroy several warplanes including Pakistan navy's premier anti-submarine attack jet - the US made P-3C Orion. The gun-battle still continues on Monday. The gunbattle ended after all terrorists were killed by the Pakistani navy commandos on Monday.
