Taliban Chief Mullah Mohmmad Omar killed?
According the Afghan news outlet, TOLOnews, the Taliban leader was shot dead. "Mullah Omar was killed on way from Quetta to North Waziristan in Afghanistan," the television channel said on Monday, May 23. Omar was reportedly killed by US drone attack, though no officials have confirmed the report yet.
However, the Tehreek-e-Taliban deny reports of Mullah Omar's death. US' intelligence agency FBI considered Mullah Omar as the second target to Osama. A minute hunt was made by FBI as Mullah Omar allegedly provided shelter to the al-Qaeda chief after 9/11 attacks in 2001.
