Taking a dig at Ambani's opulent billion dollar home in South Mumbai, Ratan Tata, during an interview to London's newspaper The Times, said, "It makes me wonder why someone would do that. The person who lives in there should be concerned about what he sees around him and ask can he make a difference. If he is not, then it is sad because India needs people to allocate some of their enormous wealth to finding ways to mitigate the hardship that people have."
However, Tata's criticism against Ambani raises question as Tatas have been emerged in several controversies over the 2G spectrum scam.
Some people, in Twitter, started questioning Ratan Tata as saying, " 'Opulence Lack-empathy-4-poor-ratan' Does Mercedes, Radia, Jet, 2G Licences Shows Love 4 Poor? At Least Low Mobile Charges Credit Goes2 M Ambani."
Now, it will be interesting to see how the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman will tackle the first attack from Ratan Tata.
