Terminator Schwarzenegger fathers a child with maid

Los Angeles, May 17: What is it with fame and power in America that corrupts the best in business and tarnish their public image and family life. There was Bill Clinton with his Monica Lewinsky affair, Tiger Woods with God knows how many and now there is Arnold Schwarzenegger who has gone public about fathering a child with a member of his household staff. But thank God they have the guts to confess unlike the N D Tiwaris of India.

The admission reported by The Los Angeles Times come weeks after the former California Governor was separated from his wife Maria Shriver after 25 years of marriage. And the revelation is second such news of uncontrolled carnal desire of the elite class in USA this week, the other being of IMF Chief who has been arrested after sexual abuse claims by his maid.

In a statement issued by Schwarzenegger to the Los Angeles Times, the Terminator star has said, "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago..I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

He has further requested, "I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not."

In a joint statement issued by Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver on May 9, the couple informed that they had separated after 25 years of marriage.
