Kerala seems to be marching ahead in publishing their election results and promise to be a close fight to the finish, with Keralites divided and with no clear indications on who will grab the top position. The two parties, LDF and UDF seem to be having a neck to neck race, with Kerala Chief Minister Achuthanandan leading by close to 5000 votes in the Malampuzha constituency. With good voter turnout, will the Left be able to retain their strongholds? The Home Minster Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is also leading from the Thalasserry constituency. BJP is also seeing a positive trend with leader O. Rajagopal leading at the Nemon constituency in Thiruvananthapuram. The other man of the moment who was embroiled in controversy, Muslim League leader P. K. Kunhalikutty and M. K. Muneer of Muslim League seem to be keeping up their clout in the Malappuram district by portraying a clear lead.

AICC General Secretary Ramesh Chennithala has also maintained his upper hand in Harippad. UDF is also leading in Varkala, Mananthavadi, Kalpetta and Vadakara constituencies. While the LDF is leading in Kozhikode North, Dharmadam, Koduvally, Udumbanchola and Nadapuram.
