Enough evidence with India to nail Pakistani lies on Dawood

Dawood Ibrahim
New Delhi, May 12: Pakistan is sooner than later going to be caught again with its pants down as happened in the case of Osama bin Laden killing. All its denial on safeguarding notorious gangster Dawood Ibrahim, is likely to go off in thin air as the Indian intelligence agencies with the help of Interpol have collected enough evidence to expose the Pakistani government's lies.

It can be recalled that Pakistan had been for all these years feeding itself of American taxpayers money by stating that they are helping US army in nabbing Osama bin Laden. But in a huge loss of face, Laden was shot down by US Navy SEALS in a comfortable mansion in Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad. Pakistani government had claimed for years that they have no idea where Laden was.

In a similar repeat, Pakistani interior minister Rehman Malik crooned the tune sung by successive regimes of his country that Dawood Ibrahim, the mastermind of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts was not residing in his country. This, despite the open knowledge of international police that Dawood stays in a posh bungalow in Karachi's Clifton area and also that he married off his daughter to former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad's son in an event covered by the Pakistani Media.

According, to P Chidamabaram, the Union Minister for Home Affairs, Dawood is still residing in Pakistan under the protective wings of ISI, the Pakistani spy agency.

First information of Dawood residing in Pakistan, came when he and Chota Rajan split in the aftermath of the 1993 Mumbai blasts. According to a report published by the Times of India, a senior intelligence official was quoted as saying, "There were various reasons for Dawood to flee Dubai. One was that after the serial blasts, he emerged as the main accused and the Interpol started hunting for him and second was that Dawood feared that Rajan would bump him off as he was against anti-India terror and lastly the ISI took full opportunity to use him against India."

There are several media footages of Dawood hobnobbing with Pakistani government officials, and influential persons and that too in the heartland of Pakistani administration. The strongest of all them is the wedding of Dawoods' daughter Mahrooq to Pakistani cricketor Javed Miadad's son Junaid in 2005.
