Sepp Blatter confident of being re-elected as FIFA President

Miami, May 4: Sepp Blatter, the President of FIFA, on May 3 said that he has come back from the CONCACAF congress confident that he will get another tenure as the head of the footbal fraternity. Mohammed bin Hammam, the President of the Asian Football confederation is contesting against him for FIFA presidency in the forthcoming elections.

Blatter said, "I'm sure at the end of the day there will be no change in FIFA."

CONCACAF is the regional governing body of football for North and Central America and the Caribbean Isalnds. Jack Warner, President of the CONCACAF said, that his federation is happy with Blatter's leadership and would also like to know what Hammam's ideas are.

Bin Hammam who couldn't attend the meeting, will meet the CONCACAF officials on May 10.

Later at a press conference, Blatter said, "I am, I would say, a relaxed president after the meeting...I am more than confident now after this congress here that we are going forward with energy and a lot of optimism."

Warner said, "The members of the executive committee and congress, all of them, have said they're happy where they are...Nobody expressed any displeasure with Mr. Blatter's office. But out of fair play, they would like to hear what the other person has to say."
