Air pollution to be tackled online!
While announcing the new plan, Haryana Finance and Environment Minister Ajay Singh Yadav on Wednesday, May 4 said that one such station had already been set up in Faridabad.
The state's pollution control board has already procured equipments for the setting up of continuous online monitoring stations for three towns, namely Panchkula, Gurgaon and Rohtak, he said.
The minister said that 9239 pollution control devices had already been installed by various industries in the State.
The Board had also prepared a proposal for strengthening of its technical, scientific, administrative, legal manpower and opening of District Level Regional Offices to have a better check over the polluting industries and for undertaking awareness programmes, he added.
Yadav also said that a proposal had been prepared for strengthening of existing four laboratories of the Board and opening of four new laboratories at Yamunanagar, Sonepat, Panipat and Bahadurgarh and the same had already been sent to the CPCB.
