Gary Weddle shaves beard after 10 yrs to mark Osama death

Washington, May 3: Just how anticipated was Osama bin Laden's death can be gauged from the fact that a man in the United States of America didn't shave his beard for almost 10 years.

According to a report published by the Associated Press, Gary Weddle, a middle-school teacher had, after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States of America vowed not to shave his beard until the mastermind of the unprecedented massacre, Osama bin Laden was nabbed.

Reacting to the killing of the terror mastermind, he was quoted by the Capitol Press as saying, "I spent my first five minutes crying and then I couldn't get it off fast enough."

Weddle was a substitute teacher in Wenatchee, USA when the 9/11 attacks on the twin-towers in New York and the Pentagon on Washington DC happened. The attacks that were carried out by al-Qaeda terrorists was plotted by Osama bin Laden. More than 3,000 people were killed in the attacks.

The Associated Press has reported that Weddle was so engrossed in the news of the terrorist attacks that he neglected to shave and after a few days decided that he wouldn't shave his beard until the terror lynchpin was captured or proved dead.

The report states, he believed that Osama would be brought to justice in a matter of few months.
