US killed Laden in Pakistan, announces Obama
Obama confirmed that a US operation killed Laden outside Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. A US official earlier claimed that Laden was dead and the world was waiting for the historical announcement of the US president.
"The most significant battle in fight against terrorism won," asserted Obama while stating that the al-Qaeda chief has been killed after a fire-fight with the American army.
Obama confirmed the news that Laden's family members and close aides were also killed during the fire-fight. Obama named the victory as "the most significant and historic win."
The US officials have taken Laden's body into custody, informed the US president. The entire nation has started celebrating after they received the news about Osama Bin Laden's death.
Obama also informed that former US President, George W Bush congratulated Obama and the men and women of US military over the news that US has finally nailed down the mastermind of 9/11 terror attack.
