Asus unveiled their plan to launch the Transformer tablet just a day after the iPhone maker Apple announced the launch of iPad 2. Unlike the other tablets, Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet provides an additional keyboard docking station that makes it to a full-fledged laptop or netbook. The keypad offers more flexibility for typing and will suit for all business and entertainment purposes.
Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet, which had arrived recently in United States and other markets, was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Jan 2011. This unique Android tablet has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with 1280x800 resolution. The display screen is equipped with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass technology and LED backlighting.
The Eee Pad Transformer runs on Android 3.0 Gingerbread operating system powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor. The SRS Sound technology ensures a dynamic 3D stereo audio experience and the HDMI port helps to connect with other compatible devices.
This new tablet boasts a 5 megapixel rear facing camera that can record HD video and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. Other features on the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Micro SD Card Reader port etc.
