Doctors treating him at the Sathya Sai super speciality hospital in Puttaparthi town in Andhra Pradesh said that his vital health parameters were showing a decline and his heart beat was slowing down. There are also fears of jaundice affecting his liver functioning.
The medical bulletin released on the Baba's health also added that the poor functioning of the liver together with low blood pressure are only worsening the situation.
Sai Baba is still continuing on ventilator support and CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy) to assist his kidney's functioning. The medical statement stated that a panel of doctors under the supervision of Director of Medical Education, Ravi Raj, an eminent nephrologist has been put under task by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. An electrophysiology specialist from the US has joined the panel as well.
Doctors are also quoting multiple organ failure as one of the reasons for the worsening health condition of the 85 year old Sai Baba who was admitted to hospital on Mar 28.
Meanwhile, the Andhra government has heightened security measures in and around the area over Sai Baba's health scare. Additional police forces have been enforced in the area.
