Cooch Behar (West Bengal), Apr 16: The two main political parties in West Bengal - CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) have engaged in the blame-game ahead of the crucial assembly polls starting from Monday, Apr 18. More than 15 people were injured in a clash between the two parties' supporters on Friday, Apr 15.

The ruling party, CPI(M) claimed that Mamata Banerjee's party members attacked CPI(M) cadres led by Politburo member Brinda Karat in Cooch Behar on Friday, Apr 15.

However, Trinamool supporters rejected all allegations and instead alleged that CPM supporters burnt down their party office and attacked their activists. Both the parties have lodged police complaints against each other.

Karat on Saturday, Apr 16 lodged a complaint with the election commission against the Trinamool Congress. Another complaint has been filed at the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police office about Friday's clash and inadequate security arrangements.
