Sources informed that the quake was first felt around 11:19 am and the epicenter was near Tochiigi prefecture. Japan's capital Tokyo and Xinhua were rocked with the fresh earthquake on Apr 16. No casualties or damages have been reported so far.
No tsunami alerts has been issued yet.
Japan had experienced the most devastating earthquake followed by a massive tsunami on Mar 11. The country witnessed several aftershocks in the form of earthquakes. Recently, another massive earthquake with 7.1 magnitude occurred on Monday, Apr 11. Tsunami alerts were issued, though it was lifted after some time.
