''Congress willing for post-poll alliance in Assam''
"Congress has no pre-poll alliance and we fought alone for all the 126 assembly constituencies. But we are open to post-poll alliance with any like minded party," Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president, Bhubaneswar Kalita told reporters at Guwahati on April 11.
Kalita refused to name any particular party but said "if Congress wins the poll, alliance with like minded parties is possible."
Replying to a question about his reported differences with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi as he was projected in a section of the local media as the next chief minister, Kalita denied any rift between them.
"Gogoi is still the chief minister and who will be the next chief minister will be decided by the high command. There is no difference between Rajib Bhavan (party headquarter) and Dispur (secretariat)," he said.
