VS Achuthanandan and Rahul Gandhi
Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 11: It seems that the coming Kerala election has become a fight between old vs youth, not between Congress, BJP or CPI(M). The Congress youth icon, 40-year-old Rahul Gandhi warned the people about their "old leaders," and received criticism from the grey-hair leaders of the state, especially from the Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan.

During his campaign in Kerala, Rahul Gandhi stated that if the Left is voted to power again, Kerala would go into the next election with a 93-year-old CM. Rahul's blow has turned back on him when the CM called the Congress leader an "Amul Baby."

In an election rally, Achuthanandan stated, "Rahul Gandhi is an Amul baby. He has come to Kerala to campaign for Amul babies." Giving examples of his political journey from the age of 16, the Kerala CM criticised Rahul about his deeds.

The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also faced the wrath of the 87-year-old Achuthanandan. Quoting a Malayalam poem, the CM chided that he had spent his youth without bowing before the "vassals of the corrupt order."

The allegation and criticism between the leaders of the political parties are seen as Kerala is all set to hold its crucial assembly polls on Wednesday, Apr 13.
