Zune Marketplace available in India; download WP7 apps

New Delhi, Apr 4: Now you can buy your favourite apps for Windows phone 7 devices in Indian Rupees. Microsoft has released the Zune Marketplace in India, where users can buy various products and services for Windows devices.

Zune Marketplace is an online store that offers music, podcasts, TV shows, movies, music videos, and mobile applications. Content can be viewed or purchased on Windows PCs with the Zune software installed, Zune devices, the Xbox 360, Windows Phone 7 phones, or the Microsoft Kin phones.

Unlike other countries, presently Zune Marketplace in India offers only WP7 apps. The exclusive Indian page for Zune Marketplace has not yet created. So, users have to register through US domain and can download the app.

Any how, Microsoft not yet officially announced the launch of Marketplace in India. We can expect the official words in coming days and the computer giant may include other services like Zune Pass, music and videos access.

Some of the smartphones running on Windows Phone 7 platform available in Indian market are Dell Venue Pro, HTC Mozart (read the comparison) and HTC HD7. With the launch of Zune Marketplace, we can expect more Window Phone 7 devices in Indian market.
