Law and order situation worse in TN, alleges CPI
Addressing elections meeting seeking support to AIADMK candidate SP Velumani at different places here, Pandian alleged that there was no security to the lives of the people, as police "remained inactive".
"Police department was not able to function properly due to day to day interference from the Chief Minister's family", he alleged.
The situation would change if AIADMK government came to power, he said.
Accusing the government for providing uninterrupted power supply to nearly 170 MNCs, Pandian said the next government should take steps to regulate power supply and take measures to provide uninterrupted power supply to farmers.
He said the "Arasu Cable" would be revived and would be the main source for cable connection, thus ending monopoly of the members of Karunanidhi's family.
