California, Apr 3: Who does not like to have Ice Cream in this summer season? All can screams for Ice Cream, especially for Sundae which has completed its 119th anniversary. Now, continuing its tradition to celebrate big days, the search engine giant Google remembers the 119th anniversary of Sundae on its home page with interesting Ice Cream Doodle.

The sundae is an ice cream dessert. It typically consists of a scoop of ice cream topped with sauce or syrup and, in some cases, other toppings including chopped nuts, sprinkles, whipped cream or maraschino cherries.

Sudane has a mysterious history as it is said to have been invented accidentally. It is believed that previously, the clergy deemed the popular dessert ice cream sodas to be 'too frilly' a food to eat on the Sabbath (naturally a Sunday).

Apparently, Ice Cream Sundae was first documented on Apr 3, 1892 in Ithaca, in the state of New York in United States of America by John M Scott, a Unitarian Church minister, and Chester Platt, co-owner of Platt & Colt Pharmacy.
