VK Shunglu report: Sheila Dikshit meets Manmohan Singh
Sources reported that Sheila met PM to describe her stance in the VK Shunglu report, which accuses Delhi government for irregularities in certain CWG projects. Delhi CM informed the PM about inconsistent and factual incorrectness in the report.
Sheila Dikshit was not satisfied with the report that triggered Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asking for her resignation. Sheila explained the collective feelings of her cabinet members, who are deeply disappointed about the findings in the report.
Earlier, Congress spokesman Manish Tewari, said that the report has been submitted to the government and the concerned authority will look into the matter.
"The committee has submitted the report to the government. It is for the government to go into its merits and come to appropriate conclusions," Manish Tewari said.
The VK Shunglu committee probed corruption charges related to the various projects in Delhi Commonwealth Games. VK Shunglu committee submitted the report, which alleges irregularities and named Dikshit and Delhi Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna in the report.
