Chennai, Mar 28: It seems that there is no respite for the ruling party in Tamil Nadu - DMK as its miseries are increasing day by day ahead of the crucial assembly polls. The investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is all set to file charge-sheet against its leader and former telecom minister, A Raja over his alleged role in 2G spectrum scam. Now, the party's star attraction - actress Khushboo also has been arrested.

Khushboo, who always remain at the centre of controversies, was arrested in Tamil Nadu for violating the election norms set by the election commission. Two cases have been lodged against the popular actress.

Police officials informed that the actress allegedly interrupted road traffic while campaigning for DMK at Palanichetti area in the district. The police also informed that without any prior permission, eight cars were found to be following her vehicle at two places in the district. All the eight vehicles were seized by the police.

Earlier, Khushboo was confronted with a huge controversy when she got involved in a defamation case over her remarks supporting pre-marital sex.

Khushboo's arrest may act as a major set back for M Karunanidhi led DMK, which has already come at the centre of all evil eyes when Raja's close aide Sadiq Batcha committed suicide.

Tamil Nadu is going to hold the assembly election on Apr 13 and the vote counting will be held on May 13. DMK has already tabled its manifesto which is believed as a populist agenda by Karunanidhi.
